A commissioned sculpture honors the life of a beloved animal forever

My work is more than just depicting a likeness—I capture the very personality of the animal you love

Is your dog bossy? Sassy? A Comedienne?

Is your horse a pocket pony, always loving treats and attention–or a true professional in his discipline, well mannered and tuned up?

A meaningful animal sculpture is more than a simple representation of features. When I create a commission for someone, I know that it isn’t just the likeness of the animal that people want to memorialize—it is the very essence of what makes that animal special that they want to remember.

How my commission process works

Creating a sculpture of your special animal is straightforward. We will communicate every step of the way, so you always know the progress of your sculpture.

Here are the basic steps:

Step One: Contact one of my gallery representatives

With your contact information and what you have in mind for a sculpture and from there, we can discuss your ideas.

Step Two: Images and drafts

After we discuss your project and agree on terms, I will need to either see the animal in person or see photographs. Then you and I will discuss the animal’s personality: quirks, funny mannerisms, cute features, etc.

Step Three: Sketch in clay

After we have agreed on the basic approach, I will start to prepare a “sketch” in clay, so that you can see the general direction of the work and offer feedback.

Step Four: Finalize the sculpture and cast the piece

When I feel comfortable that I understand the unique nuances of your animal, I sculpt the final piece and send it to the foundry for casting and finishing.
