New Acquisitions: Keeping the Peace

The American artist Tammy Bality of Loveland, Colorado, donated an original bronze entitled Keeping The Peace depicting a police officer and a German Shepherd police dog with the American flag proudly waving in the background. Measuring thirty-one inches in height by twenty-four inches in length by fourteen inches in depth, Keeping The Peace will be on permanent display in the Museum’s new exhibit on police K-9’s to open in May. The artist’s husband, Arpad Bality, served as a police officer with the Longmont K-9 unit for eighteen years.

Tammy was awarded the 2009 Art Show at The Dog Show Best of Show with her winning entry of an Italian Greyhound bronze entitled Little Diva and was a judge at this year’s event.
